Happy Wednesday to our creative community.
We hope you are all having a great 2024.
We have some exciting news for you.Â
Due to changes in our personal work, the current Pictas team are handing over the management of the community to one of our members
.ÂGéran is a very talented creative and runs his own business with his equally talented wife and muse Michelle. Géran will be telling you more about himself at the end of this email.
Harry, Nikki and Matteo are passing the reigns over with a mixture of sadness and joy as this has been a labour of love for some time. They will, however, still be part of the community.Â
Harry is focusing on his new job in finance, along with his travel photography influencer status on Instagram.
Nikki is focusing on her coaching business, helping creatives and entrepreneurs remove their blocks so that they are aligned with their vision and purpose.Â
Matteo is continuing with his role in IT whilst building his portraiture portfolio and developing his love of creative writing.Â
Harry, Nikki and Matteo would like to thank the Pictas Ambassadors and hub moderators for their continued support and dedication, and give a special thanks to
who was instrumental in designing the magazine with Nikki. We are excited by the change and wish Géran every success.Â
You may not be aware of the amount of work that goes on behind the scenes so please support Géran in his new venture.
Thanks everyone for supporting Pictas so far, let’s make sure the future of Pictas is amazing.
Over to Géran now to tell you more.
Hi Everyone,Â
Wow! Stepping into this new venture is both daunting and incredibly exciting! Harry, Nikki, and Matteo have certainly left some big shoes to fill!
I want to wish them all the best with their ventures. I believe I speak for everyone when I say that the work, dedication, and life they gave to this community have been greatly appreciated. I really hope to see more from them in the future here in the Pictas Newsletter.
I’ll do a seperate post about my work and my vision for the Pictas community in the future but here is a short introduction so you can get to know me better.Â
Michelle and I are working artists in a small town in South Africa. I work primarily with photography and digital manipulation, while Michelle concentrates on paint, sculpture, and casting mediums. The dream for Pictas is to become an online resource from which creatives can draw knowledge and inspiration. To share and celebrate each other's practice. I’m still learning and navigating this realm of creativity, so from my side this will be journey of failures and successes that you can have an insight into and hopefully some guidance to help you in your journey as a creative.Â
Please contact me if anyone has any questions, suggestions, or wants to chat.Â
Looking forward to creating an even stronger and more vibrant community of artists and art lovers.
Cheers,
Géran
I totally missed that post and news.
